Dr. Abraham Philip

Abraham Philip, Founder and President of Proclamation Ministries has been preaching the gospel since 1986. He has spoken to large and small audiences in churches, open-air crusades, men’s meetings, and on college campuses, including the Princeton University and the Harvard Christian Fellowship of the Harvard Business School. He is a gifted communicator of the gospel and passionate about sharing the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone.

 

Abraham was born in India in 1948 and received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior in Hyderabad, India, at the age of fourteen. He came to the United States at age eighteen to pursue his higher education. He holds a bachelor of science in biology from Pacific Lutheran University and a master of science in microbiology from Eastern Michigan University. While pursuing a successful career in the DuPont Company, Abraham received his call to the ministry. In obedience to that call, he pursued theological studies. He graduated with a master of arts in religion from Liberty University and a doctor of philosophy in expository preaching from Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana. In 2004, after twenty-one years of service, Abraham left the DuPont Company to devote his time and energies to preaching the gospel worldwide and training national leaders.

 

Although his initial evangelistic focus was on India, the country of his birth, Abraham was privileged to take the gospel to Ghana, Guyana, Kenya, Nigeria, Malta, and the Philippines. His scientific training and years of corporate experience have served him well in presenting the gospel to those in academic and business circles. In addition to his preaching commitments in the United States and abroad, Abraham also served as an adjunct faculty at Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana. In 2016, Abraham was inducted as the Stephen Olford Fellow of Expository Preaching by the Olford Center for Biblical Preaching in Memphis, Tennessee.

 

God called Dr. Abraham Philip to preach the message of God’s love and His salvation for a perishing world using a balanced and sound exposition of the Holy Scriptures. Proclamation Ministries was established to support and strengthen his call and preaching ministry worldwide. He and his wife, Annie, are blessed with three grown children and two grandchildren. They make their home in Newark, Delaware.
